Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic Collection - February 2025

This February the Social Action Committee is collecting items for the Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic. This non-profit clinic provides free sick, well care, and mental health services to uninsured and under insured children. While based in Canton, they serve children from 53 unique zip codes. They are committed to providing health care services to children from birth to 18 years old, or until they graduate from high school. A major focus of their work relates to prevention and wellness care.

We will be collecting the following items throughout the month of February:

Diapers, desitin, burp cloths, wipes, baby brush, swaddling blankets, bottles, nipples,  binkies, strollers, formula and specialty infant formula, breast milk storage bags, gently used cribs, baby clothes (first year), bibs, baby spoons, sippy cups, Baby Bjorns and carriers, breast-feeding pumps and accessories.

Please drop off your donations at the Temple office during normal business hours. Thank you for your continued support of the Social Action Committee projects.

Social Action

Reform Judaism places a high value on participation in working to make the world a better place.  Tikkun Olam or “repairing the world” is considered a part of the soul of Temple Israel.  The Social Action Committee undertakes and promotes opportunities founded on Tikkun Olam.  They plan activities to carry out the mitzvot and charitable actions that assist those in need in our community.  We urge every member to participate in some aspect of Tikkun Olam.
