Scrip Program

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money".

When Temple Israel members purchase scrip, they're purchasing negotiable gift certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of Temple Israel's families already shop. These merchants want to support non-profit organizations, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores. Temple members can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, they earn revenue for Temple Israel.

Temple Israel is also enrolled in ShopWithScip.com. Temple member families can register and place scrip orders on their own. Scrip coordinators can gather up individual family orders, release them after payment, and aggregate them into a single GLSC purchase order, with no additional key entry.

Temple Israel is collecting Our Family product barcodes for the religious school.  For every 500 barcodes that are turned in, Temple Israel will earn $25.00.  Our Family products can be purchased at Fishers Foods or Buehler's Grocery Store.

A collection box is in the Temple office.
