Temple Israel

Temple Israel is an active part of the Jewish community in Canton, Ohio - contributing a substantial percentage of the leadership talent for a host of Jewish communal institutions. Temple members also figure prominently among the civic volunteer, appointed, and elected positions of Canton and Stark County.

Our High Holiday services are open without tickets. Guests are welcome and a contribution to the Temple in appreciation is appropriate. Children’s Services are always a highlight of the Holidays.

The Temple is firmly committed to adult education providing special programs with scholars and artists during the year, as well as adult Hebrew study and a variety of mini-course and other educational programs provided by the Rabbi.

We strive to be a friendly and responsive congregation which serves the needs of our members through the Mitzvah Community, promotes involvement through our Youth Group, Sisterhood, Brotherhood, and Chavurot, and encourages Jewish living both at home and with the congregational family.

Temple Israel is a warm, open, and welcoming family. We are dedicated to bringing sacredness into our lives, and into the world. Join us in this wonderful and sacred journey.
